At this point, it is unclear as to when exactly the residency by investment scheme for the Netherlands will be discontinued. Earlier, the Dutch government announced that this residency scheme will be discontinued in the second half of 2021, but there is no further information about the date on which this will take into effect. As long as the residency by investment scheme is still in place, applications can be submitted on the basis of an investment of 1.25 million euros in, for example, a Dutch company or an approved fund.
