The dependents are eligible for Bulgarian citizenship immediately after the main candidate has been successfully approved and granted Bulgarian citizenship. Technically, this means that the dependents will indeed obtain citizenship a few months later than the main candidate. The dependents can get permanent residency together with the main applicant, immediately at the start of the procedure. They don't need to wait for the citizenship of the main applicant to be approved.
