Malta's Residency and Citizenship Programmes are open for applications. There is no change to the current status of Malta's RCBI options and there are no delays expected to pending applications. Malta offers both permanent residency and citizenship options by investment, these include Malta Permanent Residence Programme & Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Direct Investment. There is no reason for an investor to delay making an application for either of these investment migration options.

Currently, Malta continues to successfully operate the Malta Permanent Residence Program and the Maltese Citizenship for Exceptional Services by Investment Program. Both Community Agency Malta and Residency Malta Agency, agencies in charge of residence and citizenship programs respectively, process applications within the time frames prescribed by relevant legislation, without any delays. Malta reiterates that matters of citizenship is a national competence decided by each individual EU member state; the European Commission has no jurisdiction on matters of citizenship. Investors are assured that Malta adheres to the highest standards of due diligence in RCBI programs, guaranteeing that only individuals of high repute and impeccable background become either residents or citizens of Malta.
