Who is considered a dependent on the Greek Golden Visa program?

I have a common-law marriage with a woman in my home country of Israel. It is recognized there as much. I have no other relationship or marriage with anyone else. If I were to participate in the Greek Golden Visa program, would she be considered my spouse? Or would it perhaps be a dependent? Please advise.

She is considered your spouse, so she is included in your application for a Greek Golden Visa.

Please be aware that a husband or wife according to your country of origin (for which reason you will need to provide a certificate of marital status or family status issued by your country) is considered as dependent person to your application together with any children, son or daughter underaged (under 18).

According to the law, family members of third-country citizens entering the country are considered: spouses; the other spouse or partner with whom a third-country national has a cohabitation agreement in Greece; the direct unmarried descendants of the spouses, who are under the age of 21; the unmarried children of the supporter or of the other spouse/partner, provided that their custody has been legally entrusted to the sponsor (for his/her children) and to the other partner (for his/her children), under 21 years of age; the direct relatives of the spouses in the ascending line In order to prove the relationship and be included in the application of the main investor the family members should submit the related certificate. So if you could provide a valid marriage certificate from your residence country, yes, she will be considered as your family member and could be entitled to the resident permit privilege.

According to the pertinent provisions of the Greek law, the other spouse or partner with whom the investor has a cohabitation agreement in Greece are included in the family members who are eligible for the Greek Golden Visa. This means that your wife is fully entitled to be included in your Greek Golden Visa application, provided that you can submit to the Greek authorities an official marriage certificate from Israel.
