Who is eligible for New Zealand’s new Accredited Employer Work Visa program?

I want to move my family to New Zealand from India. I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science. How can I use this visa? Is there an investment cost involved?

Employers who have received accreditation from Immigration New Zealand (INZ) may use the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) to hire you on visas for up to 3 years if they can show job check that they cannot find suitable New Zealanders first. Your pay must be at least the NZ median wage. Your family may not be included in your visa application. However, with AEWV, you can support work visas for partner and visitor or student visas for dependent children, as long as you meet the income requirement, which is currently NZD $43,322.76 a year.

Generally speaking, if you have the qualification or experience matching the job offered, you may be able to apply for the AEWV. Apart from the application fee and immigration adviser's fee (should you choose to use one), there is no cash investment required. Your occupation might be on the Green List, which is the pathway to NZ residency. You will have to meet certain criteria to be able to qualify for the policy.
