Can U.S. branches of Chinese banks provide loans for development projects in the U.S.?

If so, which kinds of projects are eligible to take those loans?

The answer is yes. The types of transactions depend only on the types of business the particular bank engages in.

Yes. Bank of China has financed many, and there are no U.S. limitations on types of projects, other than CFIUS (U.S. security interests) perhaps.

This is entirely subject to the type of license the Chinese branch has in the U.S. Again, subject to the license, the bank would be able to loan on any sector.
