What new trends are you seeing in the global RCBI industry and what programs does your company work with most?

With the impact of the pandemic, many people have started rethinking their lives in their home country and considering relocation. The U.S. EB-5 program remains as one of the most popular immigration programs. Although the minimum investment amount is increased to 800k, the concurrent filing and set-aside visas introduced by the RIA have brought favor to the investors. We also see that wealthy people are not satisfied with only one passport or residency. Clients are applying for more than one program at the same time. European golden visa programs like Portugal and Greece appear to be the top choices among all the European programs due to low cost and access to the EU.

Founded: 2022

EC Holdings is part of the wealth planning industry, and the only global investment migration firm that is owned and operated by partners in each jurisdiction whose residence or citizenship program it offers. With headquarters in Singapore, it is focused on private clients who look for direct citizenship or residency in a country with no or minimal physical presence requirements. EC Holdings’ clients typically look for travel mobility, asset protection, safety, security and tax and business friendly environment - in short, a plan B.

What new trends are you seeing in the global RCBI industry and what programs does your company work with most?

We see three trends: firstly, more investment migrants take up permanent residency (with road to citizenship) in the safe countries of Latin America. Secondly, holders of passports from CBI countries tend to solidify their citizenship with a residence in a Schengen country (typically Latvia, which does not lead to citizenship but comes at a lower investment amount than its peers). And more U.S. citizens renouncing while acquiring foreign citizenship. EC Holdings’ most popular program for economic citizenship is Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean, and for golden visa, Latvia in the EU (and Schengen zone) is the most popular.
