Zaheer Khan is an Australian registered migration agent and the director of migration and education for Global Move Services Pty Ltd., based in Melbourne and founded in 2008. His job includes providing legal advice on immigration law, assisting in the development and implementation of business practices, submitting visa documentation, and advising domestic and foreign students on the right courses of study and relevant employment.

Khan keeps in regular contact with universities and other educational providers. He attends various immigration and educational seminars and events, as well as drafts various promotional materials, such as brochures, flyers, emails and telephone marketing communications.

Since 2010, Khan has served as a compliance local laws officer for the Melbourne City Council, a responsibility that includes investigating complaints and making proposals for changes to local law. He also provides information to the public about aspects like obtaining vehicle or construction permits, and acts as a liaison for various agencies, including the police, environmental protection authorities and other councils.

From 2001 to 2008, Khan served as a residential amenity officer for the City of Greater Dandenong. His duties included traffic management, handling noise complaints and litter, preparing correspondence, and doing daily patrols of the community.

Khan has completed certificate training courses on regulatory compliance, statutory investigation and enforcement, security operations and crowd control. He spent 10 years as a migration agent with the Australian government’s Migration Agents Registration Authority and is an associate with Migration Alliance, a Sydney-based nonprofit membership organization.

Khan has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Karachi. He completed post-graduate study in migration law and practice with high distinction at Victoria University.
