Chris Karamanolis founded First Legal & Migration Services Pty Ltd where he and his colleagues help clients with residency applications. He opened the firm and became a registered migration agent through the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) in 2012.Karamanolis’ legal career goes back to 1994 in South Africa where he established his first law firm. He practiced there for 15 years, representing clients in courts in civil cases, divorce cases and criminal trials and appeals. In 2001, he started a real estate company and ran it in two big cities in South Africa with his spouse as a fellow co-principal director. At any given time, they supervised and trained about 20 real estate agents. Karamanolis sold his first law firm in January 2007 as part of his move to Australia.In 2009 and 2010, Karamanolis combined his Bachelor of Laws degree from South Africa with Australian legal requirements at Deakin University in Victoria, Australia. He was licensed to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of Victoria in December 2010.At his current firm, Karamanolis offers legal services related to short and long-term visas, investment and entrepreneur visas, visitor visas, student visas, sporting and entertainment visas, the Working Holiday Maker and the General Skilled Migration programs, family, asylum and refugee matters, citizenship applications as well as Administrative Appeals Tribunal reviews.Karamanolis’ greatest career achievement is being selected for four major African mortgagor bank panels.
