Constance V. Mitcham is a St. Kitts and Nevis agent. She is the founder and senior partner of Mitcham & Benjamin, a law firm based in Basseterre, St. Kitts.

Mitcham & Benjamin is a registered local agent for the St. Kitts citizenship-by-investment (CBI) program and an international marketing agent for the program. She also acts as a licensed insurance manager, trusts and offshore companies incorporator.

Mitcham is one of the original creators of St. Kitts’ CBI program, which was introduced in 1984. In 1982, Mitcham served on a negotiating team for St. Kitts’ independence from Great Britain.

In 1984, she became the first woman ever elected to the St. Kitts and Nevis parliament. In 1995, she became her country’s first female acting prime minister.

She continues to serve as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary for the St. Kitts government.

Mitcham, who was born in St. Kitts and is a citizen of there and the U.K., has an LL.B. from Kingston College in the United Kingdom. She obtained her barrister-at-law certification the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1972.

Mitcham has also taken a summer course in health finance at Harvard University. She has been called to the bar at St. Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Antigua and Barbuda.
