How can Vanuatu passport holders travel to Australia?

Is visa-free access to Australia already granted to Vanuatu passport holders? How long can I stay in Australia with a Vanuatu passport?

Vanuatu passport holders need to apply for an Australia Visitor Visa (subclass 600). The application can be done online but biometrics are usually required and can be provided at the nearest Australian Embassy / Consulate / High Commission. The visa is valid for a period of 3 years with multiple entries and the length of stay in Australia is 3 month(s) from the date of each arrival. The timeframe to obtain the visa is about 2 to 4 weeks. Discussions were held last month between the Vanuatu Prime Minister and Australian Prime Minister to grant visa-free travel to Australia for Vanuatu passport holders.
