Henri Kessler specializes in retail and hospitality investment sales for the greater New York area for Marcus & Millichap. He joined the company in 2016.

His entrepreneurial career dates to 1982, when he co-founded HH Associates Ltd., a public relations and promotions firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Paris. The firm’s clients included Studio 54 and author Jay McInerney. HH Associates Ltd. focused on hospitality, restaurants and nightclubs. With $2 million invested, he later founded a restaurant and lounge venue out of the Groiler Club’s historic former headquarters in Manhattan at 29 E. 32nd St. In 1992 he sold the triple net lease to new operators.

In 1996, Kessler founded a film and television production company, Offline Entertainment, within 17,000 square feet of the Starrett-Lehigh Building, in Manhattan’s Chelsea district. Under Kessler’s leadership and management, it produced and/or developed over 25 titles. One of them, “Slam,” received the Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Cannes’ Camera d’Or.

In 2005, Kessler moved to Los Angeles and ran the feature film and television divisions for the Robert Evans Company, located on the Paramount Pictures studio lot in Hollywood. He also helped start Woodland Hotel & Resort Group, LLC, which found real estate opportunities for Paramount-inspired hotels in North America.

In 2012, Kessler moved back to New York and received a real estate salesperson license. In October 2016, he co-brokered the sale of the AMC Village 7 Theater in Manhattan for $32.25 million.
